The Marin County Marathon encourages you to support our selected charity, Breast Cancer Emergency Fund (BCEF). You may donate directly by clicking on the BCEF logo below. You can also set up your own fundraising page and share it with your family and friends. Breast Cancer Emergency Fund needs your support! BCEF helps low-income people battling breast cancer or its difficult treatment regimens by lightening the financial burden and emotional toll of unpaid bills. The vast majority of BCEF clients are working women without access to employer-paid health insurance or disability coverage. Others realize that they are under-insured once they begin extensive breast cancer treatment. BCEF provides emergency financial assistance to help people maintain vital medical treatments, avoid utility shut-off, prevent eviction, and maintain stable housing. BCEF works as quickly as possible; assistance is usually available within five days. BCEF offers people facing a devastating diagnosis a bit more space to concentrate on that which is most important: personal health and family. Raise your own level of health by raising funds for low income people battling breast cancer. On race day at the Green Village Expo, some lucky runners will receive unique prizes including a very special trip for two. Everyone that is entered for the race receives an automatic entry into a random drawing. Register for the race and you are already entered with one entry into the drawing! Want to earn additional entries to the drawing? As an incentive to aid BCEF, you can get one extra entry into the drawing for every $100 donated to BCEF. Be sure and open a fundraising page for BCEF and each time you accumulate $100 from your friends, family and co-workers which is donated to your selected charity - you pick up an extra drawing entry!
