Back onto Civic Center Drive to Smith Ranch Road and then its off to the halfway point to the left of McGinnis Park before one of the special highlights of the day, the special 2+ mile loop on the flat trail around the levees at the Las Gallinas District area, the great bird sanctuary. The course goes back the same exact route, up and back over Hammer Hill, before heading into the back side of McNear's Beach along the water for a very memorable and fast finish.
